It’s funny how many models, managers, and Onlyfans owners have the illusion that fans will automatically subscribe and ask to buy from them. Does anyone else feel this way? And if they don’t subscribe or pay, the common excuse is, “Well, the traffic must be terrible.”

In my opinion, here’s what a minimum viable sales model should look like for models and agencies:

Part 1: Trial Periods on Paid Pages

First, I’m all for paid pages. This adds value to the model. Second, you need to give people a chance to “taste the goodies” with trial periods. Trial periods are the perfect way for fans to try the content, get accustomed to the model, and want to stick around.

We can implement this through:

  • Free trial links (maximum 12 months free)
  • Tracking (campaign) links (maximum 30 days free)
  • Profile promotion campaigns (maximum 30 days free)

But! If the trial is organized ineffectively, it’s easy to lose fans.

Which Trial Periods Work Best?

  • 7 days: Only if you have a killer sales team. There are fans who subscribe but don’t check in for 2–3 weeks on OnlyFans. I’ve never seen effective use of a 7-day trial.
  • 30 days: This is the optimal period for high-end models with a personal brand, where you can comfortably collect cash from subscriptions. For lesser-known models, a strong sales team and good personal branding through posts are essential.
  • 6–12 months: I personally use this option. If you can hook fans, you should. Some fans don’t realize they want to stay until 2–3 months in, depending on the traffic, but these cases do exist. I love expanding the funnel.

The Essence

The goal is to give the fan enough reasons to stay with the model during this period through top-notch communication, engagement via posts, stories, and offers to stick around longer.

For example, a fan enters a paid page through a profile promotion campaign (30 days) by simply typing the link into the search bar. They subscribe, and the chatter engages with them, offering a 12-month trial as a gift. The result? The fan is thrilled that they won’t have to pay for a subscription and ends up spending hundreds of dollars on custom content! 🥰
